Notes:

Please note, this event will most likely sell out, so if you have not yet registered,, DON'T wait. Get your ticket now! Onsite check-in is from 5pm-7pm at the Aulde Dubliner/Pour House, 62 William St. in the Byward Market. So come for a beer and a bite and hand in your donations early!

If you plan on bringing friends who aren’t racing, get them to register too, so that they are guaranteed a spot at the bar.  We only have room for so many people and we don’t want anyone left out in the cold!

Reading of the rules is 7pm at the pub and then we escort everyone down to the starting line (around 7:30) at the northern end of the Rideau Canal Skateway, at the Rideau Locks. After the starting pistol goes off, racers skate south to the half way/turnaround location which is right by Pig Island/Fifth Avenue.  There will be Official Cup peeps with noise makers and glow-in-the-dark garb so you don’t miss them. You get your beer ticket there to prove you made it half way, then you turn around and skate back downtown. The second leg is from the northern end of the Rideau Canal Skateway where racers walk/run back to the Dubliner. Once you’re back at the Dubliner (upstairs!) you present the ticket you obtained at the halfway point to exchange for a cold beverage, and once you take a sip you have completed the race.

We’ll go over everything again at the Aulde Dubliner so everyone knows exactly what they have to do. :)
